I had one of my SPED students make up a test today. He requires someone to read his test to him. When he came back today he told me that,”You should grade my test easy.”
Me: I’ll grade your test the same way I graded everyone else’s.
SPED: Well you should grade me at a lower standard then the others.
beware this is what i said but i think he needed to hear it.
Me: “Just because you place yourself at a lower standard doesn’t mean that I will. I expect more out of you.
He then proceeded to ask if todays finals review was extra credit or if I was going to take a grade on it.
Duh?
i would have said the same thing. he needs to hear that. go sassy!!!!!
hopefully it doesn’t get me into trouble.
