Okay, here I go into the 21st century, kicking and screaming. After spending weeks walking around my world and thinking, “Hey I could blog about that!” Here I am. I must admit that my biggest hinderance was the fact that I couldn’t think of a name. I want to be hip, I want to be cool, I want to be…WITTY. I have actually started a list of things I would like to write about.
I am a terrible writer, my grammar, my punctuation, and all of you should thank the good Lord now for spell check as I can NOT spell. I can recite theorems and postulates of geometry but I can not spell. So if anyone ever reads this please forgive my errors. I will also promise you right now that I will not be a daily blog-poster.
I know nothing about blogs so please bare with me. I don’t know any blog etiquette so if there is something I should know please send the info my way.

And you know what? It doesn’t matter if you spell things wrong or if you don’t know blog etiquette. It matters that this is YOUR blog and you get to say whatever your little heart desires.
So, write about your students, your problems, your joys and your achievements. Or write about your dreams, hopes and desires! Write what matters to you!
And just so you know, if someone’s comments are rude or cruel, you can delete them!! HAHAHA!! Seriously, though, most people who read the blogs are very nice and enjoy giving positive feedback and encouragement.
So blog away!! And have fun!!

ditto to what your auntie said. You have more courage than your mom. I don’t know what you are worried about, someone that could write a 3 page essay in a half hour and make it sound good on a subject she knew little or nothing about. I always told you that you could write, now here is your change. Go for it!!!

Nah – no worries about your spelling or punctuation. I echo the ladies above me — just write what’s on your heart.
But, my recommendation is to not use any real names or give away your location. You never know the whackos out there. (Not that I’m a wacko or anything!).
My real name is not Daisy, but Daisy sure is a pretty name huh? I do live in Northern California in the wine country. Which is to say, that could be Lodi, Humboldt, Sonoma, Napa, Medocino, Sacramento, Marysville, etc. So, there’s a *bit* of anonimity. See? I just misspelled anonymity and I’m not going back to correct it!

Thanks Ms. Daisy! I have written a few more posts and I have been careful with names and locations. You’ll see in a later post Aunt Harry, while it is a true nickname for her it is far from the real one. Thanks for the advice! I must say I wished my list of places that I could live in sounded as fun as yours!
